Søren Ørsted Eriksen:
I am the owner and daily manager of the firm. As such I take part in everything which goes on, and I’m also the ideas man behind most of the products made by ACTOY.
My original education and my prior work as a social education worker are the reasons for me being deeply involved in providing the children with relevant and developing challenges. This often requires specialized products, and therefore I’ve concentrated on products related to BALANCE and products for the part of the playground, where you gather in order to have a cosy time, - around the always alluring FIREPLACE.
Since the beginning of 1991* I’ve partaken in after-education using the motto “learning by doing” – aside from a variety of courses - and I’m now a lot more than a social education worker; a self-taught blacksmith, designer and entrepreneur.

Tabitha Rundin Eriksen:
By background is a pedagogical education, and I’ve worked for a number of years in institutions.
I’ve been present right from the birth of Actoy and till now, watching the firm developing into a “fully grown male/female” with a zest for life and an ability to manoeuvre both in domestic and foreign parts. I’ve become more and more involved with the firm, and I take part in all decisions related to final designs of products and decisions involving the future course of the firm etc.
My work is of a less physically strenuous nature. I handle office business, development of ideas, and I’m in contact with customers and agents.
